Again: Or use a docker container which is independent from the developers will to adapt to a certain platform/software version. As long as docker works, of course.

It shouldn't, however backup all your data regardless just as a disaster recovery option.
If you don't have much data (and already have it backed up to external storage), it's better to do a clean install versus an in-place upgrade to TOS 5.

Re: The Brand New TOS 5 is Released!
Is still deduplication unavailable in this release, right?
Thanks,
Alex
Thanks,

Re: The Brand New TOS 5 is Released!
To use the deduplication feature in TOS 5, just install the application "Deduplication Manager" from the app center.

Easier said than done, I've got 8tb of storage i would need to transfer lol. The only thing i can think of is to remove one of the HDDs, upgrade the one still in and if it works wipe the removed one and put it back in and reinitialise it. if not i can remove that one and put the old one back in and reinitialise the failed TOS5 one.
@tmroy - would that work?

This is not deduplication, this is an app that finds duplicated files and replaces them with hardlinks to a single file!
I hope is not this that you advertise as "Efficient and Convenient File Deduplication" on https://www.terra-master.com/global/tos5 page!
Thanks

Re: The Brand New TOS 5 is Released!
So what do you mean by deduplication?
