Storage pool size

Post by Barnes134 »

Hi,

I've got my NAS set up with 2x 4TB Drives.

They appear in the RAID, say they are healthy but the storage capacity is only showing as 3.63TB not close to 8TB as per picture.

What am I doing wrong please?

I do have the drive setup to back up Apple Time Machine, is that where it has allocated the rest of the storage?

I've attached a screenshot.

Thank You in advance for helping this NAS NOOB!

The capacity of RAID1 with two 4TB HDDs configured will be only 4TB. It's not wrong for your storage pool.
You can backup your data first, delete the created volumes and storage pool, and click "create" to reconfigure your HDDs as JBOD or RAID0 to get 8TB capacity.
