Disk size upgrade Raid 1

Hi everybody,

I'm using a F2-420 Terramaster NAS. It works fine...
I have actually two 4Tb hard drives, mirrored together with Raid 1 configuration.

I would like to upgrade to 10 Tb mirrored... Is there a procedure for that ?
--> Is it possible to extract one of the 4Tb hdd and replace it by one 10Tb disk, then let replication be fully done, and finally change the second HDD for another 10Tb one, and wait for a re-replication ??......

Hi, as for replacing the current 4TB drives in RAID 1 with 10TB drives , please pull out one 4TB drive, and insert a new 10TB drive when it says hard drive is missing, and they RAID will be repaired automatically. You can pull out the second 4TB drive when the repairing is finished, and insert the second 10 TB drive in and let the RAID repairing be finished.

Hi there,

I just wanna add a comment about RAID 1 rebuild. I just replaced a hard drive in my F2-210 2 HDD RAID 1. The RAID did not automatically rebuild when the error message "hard drive is missing" is triggered. I had to go to Control Panel -> Storage Pool -> Edit -> Repair RAID to start the rebuild. I'm not sure if it's a bug or expected behaviour, but it seems different than what TMsupport mentioned in the post above.

If you replace a new drive for the RAID 1, then you have to hit the "repair" so that to rebuild your raid.

Did upgrade this way, and it's rebuilding at the moment.
But storage pool size is still showing original size ...
So I just wonder, will it be increased automatically, after i'll remove second original disk from the pool or do I need to adjust it somehow?

Which step are you at now? 4 +10 TB rebuilding or 10+10TB rebuilding?

After pool rebuild i've removed smaller disk and at the moment I have degraded pool containing single big disk, but volume size is still as with original small disks.

i.e. :

1. i had originally raid 1 out of 2tb + 2tb
2. then as you're suggested i've replaced first of 2tb disks with 14tb
3. then volume started replication
4. then after replication was complete i've removed second 2tb disk (i'll order another 14tb disk later, at the moment it's not critical)
5. so now i have storage pool #1 with volume #1 and i wonder how to force size increase for that volume/pool

in the web interface there are also no possibility to resize
time to consider memory upgrade and switching to other OS?
like FreeNas for example? Or just simple Debian?

Or it's TNAS Linux has some hidden possibilities for resizing?
