Has this now been identified as an issue and is a fix in the works?

We have verified it on F2-210 and F4-210, using smb service to access, and transferring large files over 5G to usb devices, the results are normal.
According to your screenshot, it shows "Error 0x8007003B", you can try to search for the solution of this error on Google.

I have also undertaken further testing on my F5-221
I can copy a 3.5GB file to/from TNAS to USB, also to/from Windows (SMB) and Macbook (AFP).

Wow!!! Quick to write off your customers ! That is sad! I work in IT and that is not an acceptable answer! There are more people having this issue then ones that are not. This issue has been happening ever since the update. No other changes to the network, user accounts etc. that is the best answer you can come up with is to Google it ? What a bunch of crap! Rather then solve the problem will just tell you to do something we don’t think you have done lmao! I’ll be switching to a name brand more reliable solution after this POS answer and waiting days! You are a joke !

Does this help? https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/win ... 7154ace974 With your IT experience I am sure you wouldn't have forgotten about the file size limitation on FAT32, anyway read the link and let us know if you solve it. I tested with an F2-422 (TOS 5.0) and WD MyBook (6TB RAID 0) and it worked with no issues with a few 60GB MKV files. (Mac and PC) Good luck

Thanks for the info all of these steps have been tired. I have not forgotten the size limitation. Both drives are NTFS. As i stated previously. this was all working for around 2 years before this update. I have conducted further testing reset the device back to factory settings and put on older firmware. this is still not working with Windows file transfer or robocopy to \\ip\usbshare1 or usbsahre2. This will however work when not copyi8ng to the attached usb for example a folder created on the TNAS local storage. I did however restore my configuration from a backup perhaps something in there is still corrupt idk. I have tried transferring files from a linux machine to the usb share and that seems to be working with no errors. i have removed all recent updates from my 4 windows machines going all the way back to Jan but robocoy and drag and drop to \\ip\usbshare still does not work. I have disabled FW and AV still no luck. im getting fed up at this point.
