After the latest update to 4.2.30-2203011629 the two attached USB's will just hang/freeze when attempting to copy anything to them. If i unhook them and plug them into a computer they work just fine. Everything was working fine until i updated this evening. Please Fix ASAP
Current Model of TNAS is F4-210

Re: Copy to external USB 4.2.30 Broken!!
I am also on 4.2.30 and have confirmed that my "USB Copy" jobs are working fine.
Also, I have just been able to copy a single file from the TNAS to the USB drive without issue.
@capnhowyoudo Sorry my post is not helpful to you, but does provide Terramaster with someone else's experience.

First, make sure your external storage device's file system supports files over 4GB.
You can search for the solution corresponding to your computer according to 0x8007003B.
Of course, you can try restarting the computer and turning off the computer protection first.

Re: Copy to external USB 4.2.30 Broken!!
I have a 500 GB Drive and a 14 TB drive hooked up for over a year and everything was working just fine up until the update, When copying files to the USB over the network it does not work. It will hang and freeze! This is not a user error nor credential issue or compatibility of the drive. Again this has worked ever since i bought my device over a year ago may have even been two years ago none the less this needs to get fixed and get fixed now!!!TMRyan wrote: ↑08 Mar 2022, 18:04 First, make sure your external storage device's file system supports files over 4GB.

Looks like you have different Hardware then myself and another user. Seems to be hardware specific at this time.V8Triker wrote: ↑08 Mar 2022, 16:41 I am also on 4.2.30 and have confirmed that my "USB Copy" jobs are working fine.

Re: Copy to external USB 4.2.30 Broken!!
We verified the issue again with the F2-210, but didn't find it. Can you upload or copy files to usbshare in TOS file manager?

Re: Copy to external USB 4.2.30 Broken!!
I have confirmed within the TOS Web GUI i am able to move files around, rename, copy etc. However when trying to copy files 1GB or more from a windows machine over the network it is not working. it will just hang on the copy screen with the graph / % and nothing will display. After a period of time it will error out and then freeze up the computer i was copying the files from. Its not until the drives are un plugged from the TNAS the computer will un freeze. I have tried on three different workstations at home and the same thing happens. Also i have a F4-210

Having exactly the same issue here too. Unable to copy files to external USB drives since the latest update.
