Increase Volume Size

Post by adjaga »

I did this.
viewtopic.php?f=75&t=1542

Replaced 2TB drives with 8TB, using those instructions. Used Online RAID expansion. The issue seems to be the volume size is not increasing, and the option to increase (or decrease) is grayed out and does not let me adjust. The pool size is the correct size now. Help! I have been searching the forums and cannot find my answer. I even downloaded putty to try with that. Still not working.

What is the array mode created before? What was the capacity of the original volume and which expansion method was used? Can you provide a screenshot so that we can see the problem

Raid 1. This is a F2-221. Original size was 2TB. Followed the procedure to replicate RAID expanson option when put in the new drives. Shows the new 8TB sizes, but the volume will not increase. What do you want a screenshot of specifically? Can I give you a code to directly access my unit? I have 3 of these units for my company and if I can't get this addressed, I may need to switch to another brand of NAS.

Also, when I try to copy all the data off of it through windows explorer, it only copies off about 170gig, when the drive has about 1.7TB of data! And it is all on the same share.
