Backup to USB

Post by anyway » 20 Dec 2019, 15:18

Is there a log file of the backup?
How do I see that the last backup was ok or faulty?

A new application call "USB Copy" just released in the applicatoin market. you can get all such info in this new app.
With this new app, you can monitor the backup status, set backup schedule and select different backup way.
it is a pretty cool new app, but it is a just beta version now.

What to do in the meantime?
I get the message displayed "backup failed (directory does not exist or space of destination is insufficient)"
There is enough space on the drive. It seems that data has been backuped. But all?

Deal all!
I still need a response! It is more urgent than ever!
- Yesterday I wanted to carry out a new backup.
- The USB drive was not recognized by the backup program,
- I first had to reformat the drive!
- Over night the backup hung at 72%. I didn't get any error or status message.
Please help!

Hi, are you using the "backup from TNAS to USB" at "Backup" of TOS webpage? There is no log files for it about the finished task.
It's suggested to use Rsync to backup from TNAS to USB.
You should set your TNAS as Rsync server at TOS Control panel - Network service -File service first, and set the authorized folder.

Then create Rsync backup task at Backup -Rsync backup
