Can you please let us know by which version & date this is scheduled to be available?
Been a very long wait so far for such baseline feature.
Thanks.

Do you mean Guest no-login AFP is now available in TOS4.2.06? Great news! Will definitely upgrade and test soon then.

Would definitely help if TOS4.2.06 release notes were detailed and complete vs previous 4.1.32 release...

I upgraded to 4.4.06 but could not have guest AFP to work.
Can you please clarify how to set it up?
my guest user is Normal

AFP access needs credentials in 4.2.06 still, only SMB access as Guest does not need credentials in TOS4.2.06

Just to be clear, I tested SMB with no credentials using an F5-422 on TOS 4.2.0.6-2011031752, and found credentials ARE required. This appears to be a bug, and will hopefully be fixed. I made the guest user "Normal" (no longer disabled), and gave read/write permissions to the shared directory. If there is anything else I can try, please let me know. Otherwise, I think we are waiting for a bug fix in the next release.

On my side F2-210 4.2.06, guest access without credentials does work for SMB.
Note: to install 4.2.06, I started fresh resetting NAS default config; painful but sometimes may help...

The F2-210 is an ARM cpu, vs the F5-422 I have is an x86. These are two different downloads, so maybe there is a difference?

My F5-422 is new, so it is at factory default, minus my trying to get the guest access without credentials to work. I've made the guest user 'normal', and set up read/write permissions on the shared directories. Is there anything else to try? Can anyone with the x86 software confirm this does or doesn't work?

I updated to 4.2.0.7-2011241531. I ensured the guest user is "Normal" (not disabled), and gave read/write permission to the shared folder. I am unable to access without entering credentials. Am I missing something? Can anyone else on the x86 code verify this does or does not work?
