F2-421 - Keep losing permissions

Post by AltSpaceX »

Hello,

I have a problem with my TNAS. I have a user account created, and have stored files and folders under that user. All permissions are set to read / write for my user. Intermittently, but frequently, my user loses the ability to create or update files over SMB.

If I click on the user's home directory in File Manager, and select "Properties", using the TOS web interface, the permissions look to be OK.

The only fix is to select "Inherit permissions to all subdirectories" and click "Confirm". This restores write access from windows SMB, but sooner or later access stops again, and I have to repeat.

This isn't really suitable.
