Created Firewall Rule - Broke all connections to device - help!

Post by DataScientist6 »

Help!

I created a single 'accept' firewall rule for a single port but it blocked all connections to my TNAS, both externally and within the same network. The only way I can do anything with the device is by connecting a monitor and keyboard/mouse directly to it.

Really not sure how that ended up breaking all connections, but I just need to reverse it. I have access to the command line, what do I need to do to fix this? I see a rule in iptables that seems to be it, but removing it doesn't seem to do anything. I still can't access the TNAS.

Any ideas?? Would rather not have to reinstall the whole system

Thanks,

DS

You can try changing the NAS login port to the one you created.
