Upnp Vulnerability?

Has anyone seen this article?

I'm not sure what to do with this information other than turning off upnp for now.

Not sure what the impact will be on my system or network other than possibly preventing the connection of my USB drives for running backups of the NAS.

Any comments on what happens when turning off upnp, please.

You can download the patch package, and go to TOS Control panel- General settings- Update& Recovery- Software update- Manual update to install the patch.

Does this patch need to be applied with each TOS update? Has it been added to the updates 4.2.09 and later?

I applied the patch but the release level didn't change. 4.2.09-2101251735-P1.06 before and after the patch.

The patch could not be added to the released TOS version. It will be added to TOS 4.2.12 or later version.
