F5-422 5x8Tb takes forever to create storage pool

I installed TOS 5 on the new device and I added 5x8Tb Iron wolf disks.
I tied to create a storage pool and/or a volume a couple of times. The UI accepts my choices but I do not see any indication of the process of creating the pool. I can hear a disk activity but no feedback on the page - the storage pool says "No valid data", about 24 hours after I pressed the button.

Please advice.

is your F5-422 a newly purchased device? when?
are your drives new? have they been used in any of TerraMaster nas device?

Both the device and disks are brand new and purchased on Oct 11th. TOS ver. 5.0.171.
I tried to create the storage pool a couple of times and this could have contributed to the problem.

The disks are model ST8000VNZ04

what RAID type did you choose to create your storage pool?

It is TRAID.
There is something wrong with the system. I can not open Apps - I can see the icon but not the window.
It is safe to do a factory reset and install TOS 5 and then try to build the storage pool?

I can not reset to factory settings - I get "Operation failed - incorrect username and password" and I am sure the password is correct.
Please advise how to do a hardware reset and how to format the HDD and start from scratch.
