[HELP] TOS not recognizing new hard drive after install  [SOLVED]

Post by alicesphere »

I added a new HDD to my TerraMaster NAS (F2-223) but TOS doesn’t show the drive at all in Storage Manager. I’ve reseated the disk and confirmed it spins up, but it still doesn’t appear.

Is there a specific step needed to detect or initialize a new drive in TOS, or could this be a compatibility issue?

Thanks for any advice!

What is the current version of your TOS?
Please confirm again: are you checking it in the Control Panel - Disk - Disk interface?
If you have other devices, you can verify the availability of this HDD.
You can try logging into the terminal and entering the following commands to check the connection status within a few minutes after connecting the HDD:

Code: Select all

lsblk
dmesg | tail -n 50
