TerraMaster DAS contains 2 series of products; Thunderbolt 3 series and USB series. Please refer to following guide to pick a right model.

Thunderbolt 3 series: mainly for the video editing professionals or those who really care about speed.
USB series: mainly for photographers, music producers, movie collectors or those who do not care too much about speed or do not have ample budget.

Thunderbolt 3 series
  • D2/TD2 Thunderbolt 3: 2 drive slots, RAID 0/RAID 1/JBOD/Single, hardware RAID controller, rotate switch RAID configuaration, online capacity expansion and online RAID migration not supported;
  • D5 Thunderbolt 3: 5 drive slots, RAID 0/RAID 1/RAID 5/RAID 10/JBOD/Single, hardware RAID controller, software RAID configuaration, online capacity expansion and online RAID migration;
  • D8 Thunderbolt 3: 8 drive slots, RAID 0/RAID 1/RAID 5/RAID 10/JBOD/Single, hardware RAID controller, software RAID configuaration, online capacity expansion and online RAID migration;
