[F5-422] (iSCSI) multichannel multipath I/O (MPIO - for increased speed

Post by seba22 »

Hello,

I own F5-422 - im using one 10GBe connection for connecting with my working station, but I need connect F5-422 to server for doing backup to tape (1GBe it's saturated and LTO need to stop tape and rewind) so 100MB/s is not enough.

F5-422 have 3 ports, 10GBe, and 2x gigabit. If we use multipath on that 2 NIC for iSCSI i should get at least 180MB/s - and that will be enough for my use.

(i don't have 10GBe network equipment and no need for it, so buying 10GBe switch just to add that one backup tape server is not acceptable).

I would rather add second NIC to my server and create second connection for that another gigabit port.

Any idea how to make it from TerraMaster side?

This is what im referring to:

I am sorry to tell you that current version doesn’t support multiple sessions for the iSCSI target, this feature could be implemented in coming new version.
