Using TNAS & USB Webcam for Surveillance

Post by wunderbred »

Subject says it all basically :) I have an F5-221 TNAS which I've maxed the RAM on.

Not finding any software or instruction on deploying a rudimentary webcam surveillance setup for our front porch.

Anyone have experience rolling something like this out? Even just dumping the video stream to a shared folder could be enough.

Strange that it’s an advertised feature for this NAS though not deployed yet. I used an old Raspberry Pi instead and got this going on my lunch break yesterday. :/
