My F5-221 with 5 drives in RAID3 could transmit data at 800+ MB/sec, 6.4gbps. But it can only connect at 1gbps.
Why not have a 10gbps LAN connection or a 10gbps USB 3.1 Gen 2 connection? Or Wifi 6E or wifi 7?
A fast USB connection could be used with a single computer or a 10gbps router.
USB 3.1 Gen2 10gbps OR 10gbps LAN connection needed

If that was important to you, than you bought the incorrect 5-bay model consumer NAS, as their 422 series devices have native copper 10Gig Ethernet: https://www.terra-master.com/global/pro ... g-nas.htmlTom-Ottawa wrote: ↑09 Apr 2022, 06:32 My F5-221 with 5 drives in RAID3 could transmit data at 800+ MB/sec, 6.4gbps. At this time, Terra-Master's TOS only natively supports WiFi5 with a particular RealTek RTL8812AU chipset and nothing newer, yet (they may be able to support newer chipsets in future updates).
They do not currently offer a higher speed USB 3.2 connection above gen1 (5 Gbps); they explicitly sell the ThunderBolt DAS series for those that require a higher bandwidth single device connection.Tom-Ottawa wrote: ↑09 Apr 2022, 06:32

My TM NAS has 10Gbe and works well over network. You could try a USB 2.5 Gbe connector (Plugable do one and is sells on Amazon for around £30, it works well in my experience, though I haven’t tested it with an F5-221 as I dont have one to hand.Tom-Ottawa wrote: ↑09 Apr 2022, 06:32 My F5-221 with 5 drives in RAID3 could transmit data at 800+ MB/sec, 6.4gbps. As for Wi-Fi, despite the hype, you would find a 1Gb Ethernet connection better as for a start its full duplex and isnt prone to interference, also have you tried using Link Aggregation? It wont increase throughput to one device but if you have two devices connected they will both transfer at full speed.

Normally users like video professionals may require high-speed transfer with big bandwidth, I just want to confirm my thought.
