Tried that and it kind of worked in that a couple of folders are now there, but only one has the contense available anything else that might have an effect, never had this problem with the older software.

TV network discovery of TNAS problems?
I have two F5-221 TNAS both on the latest update 71 and both on exactly the same settings, both are visible on the network to two TVs and both of the TVs see the folders....but only one has the names of the folders and can view the contense, but the other just bring up a folder view with no name and...

Also, just loaded it onto my android car head unit and had no problem downloading a film from my NAS.

Added this app to my mobile last night and so far it's working very well, a bit slow on thumbnail generation but otherwise well done.

As I have said at the beginning of this thread I have un endorsed RAM in both my machines, and they work fine, but mine are over two years old, so maybe TM have now introduced something that throws a wobbly if it detects a non TM RAM, A bit like some HDDs are not well tolerated which I think is soft...

On updating to 5.0.158 I found that it had decided to say they two of my drives (volumes) were corrupted, so I deleted and reassigned them, and now they are fine, so I am now frightened to update my other TNAS in fear that I will lose data.

Yes all done by the book, but used the 156 download as linked in the installation instructions, I ended up installing the 144 and all is good, accept I lost one HDD with all my films on, but it is a Barracuda, but it's been fine for the last two years, so is it a case of TM doesn't like the brand or...

Cant log into new install of TOS5
Just decided to update my TOS4 machine and gone through the initialization using a downloaded TOS 5.0.156 and was not asked to create a superuser password, now can't log in tried using the original but can't log in, do I need to reinstall using the 144 version?
