Re: Set permission to SFTP users
I have followed your steps but no way to make it works. But there is a news. After a completely fresh install of SO the same line of code works in crontab. How is it possible? It’s a good thing run the script every X minutes?

Re: Set permission to SFTP users
Unfortunately this doesn’t work, the same line of code executed from terminal works but placed into /etc/init.d and a text file into /etc/sc.d doesn’t works. Chown requires special privileges? Sudo command doesn’t work.

Set permission to SFTP users
Hi, I wanna customize some user preferences. I would like set that ftp users can’t navigate the root of a given folder. I tried to modify the sshd_config file in /etc/ssh and in a certain way it worked. The only problem is that on every reboot the /home/ftpuser folder must be owner changed from ftpu...

Share USB devices
Hi, there is a way to share a USB hard drive with a f2-210 for no administrator accounts? I read another thread where the answer was no, but i tried to mount from ssh the hard drive and in certain cases it works. I wasn’t a able to manage permissions but theoretically it’s possible. However, with th...

Re: Unable to backup with RSync
Thanks for your reply, perhaps I have solved this ridiculous problem.... after 6-7 backup I noticed that all were stopping after a specific video file, i opened this video file and it was corrupted. I don't know if the video location was broken or the file itself but it's really annoying that rsync ...

Re: Unable to backup with RSync
Hi, i’m running into some issues with rsync. I need to backup my entire NAS (user folders included and not only shared folder, this is a huge limitation for USB-COPY) to a USB hard drive. Backup starts without problem, usually next to the end of process rsync with verbose activated, report “I/O err...

Re: Set HDD Stand-By connected through USB
I tried to backup all data with rsync but I ran into some issues. After 180 GB backup (total was 200/210) rsync say every time "I/O error 5" or similar. I opened another thread on this forum. At this moment I have a RAID 0 configuration so an emergency backup is very important.

Re: Set HDD Stand-By connected through USB
[at=sianderson post_id=7948 time=1612002070 user_id=2074][/at] Sorry, i didn’t understand what you said. My english is certainly not good. USBCopy allows to backup data from shared folder such as “public” but no private folder. When you create a user on TOS automatically you’re creating a private fo...
