Re: TRAID and USB copy problems.

Take a drive from one TNAS and put in a powered USB caddy, plug into the other TNAS USB port and hit USB copy, however as I said the drive shows up as connected in the disk menu but won't show in USB copy menu maybe because it's RAID perhaps? Can you recommend a way to copy selected content from one...

Re: RAID degraded?

I was trying to replace with a larger disc, as you're supposed to be able to? And that's when I got the "raid degraded" message, so far I have tried to do a simple reset, but the message stays, so I have had to re-initialize and now waiting an age for the storage pool to synchronise.

Fresh Start!

I have 2x F5-221 and have been using one with Truenas but in the interests of conformity and wanting to try the TRAID configuration, and also needing to back up a lot of data on the other machine, so if I put back the original boot USB drive and initialise as per usual what version of the software w...

Re: TOS 5.1.24 is Released for Update!

Question, if wanting to reinstall 5.1 because the original system was TOS 4 and only 2gb partition, is it possible to just reinstall on the original disk which carries the system and then re-insert the remaining disks? Will they be read as normal, or am I going to have to back up the lot and reinst...

[at=Gremlin post_id=28281 time=1688748561 user_id=6052][/at] That's perfectly fine as this strategy totally relies on the brave early-updaters and their feedbacks. So at this occasion: A big thanks to everyone contributing here! I will now shut up as this is drifting off the topic. I have said it m...

Re: TOS 5.1.40 (X86) is Released for update

Of course I have installed and activated the Multimedia Server App. I came from TOS 5.1.37. It worked then. But now it no longer works. I have already tried many things: - Created a new Media Index - Multimedia Server App uninstalled, reinstalled and activated. - UPnP at "Discovery Senice"...

Re: File manager task bar corruption.

Excellent, thanks! :D Been trying all kinds of things since I got a new laptop and found the phenomena had gone but came back after a week, and my desktop doesn't suffer from it, which is very strange.
