Re: F4 210 access

Hi I formatted my first drive and uploaded files to the "admin" section... Now when I select File Manager from the TNAS program which does find the Device on the network - I get one set of options to log into "appdata" or "public" - nothing else - neither has any files...

Re: Add option to remove/mute beep on startup/shutdown

If I'm reading this thread correctly, TM is already working on it. I hope we get it sooner rather than later.

Re: Persistent Configuration/Settings After App Update

I know there are lots of requests for new and exciting features, but mine is more for something that should probably be a standard feature. Persistent configuration/settings after an application update. It would just be great if the installation could detect that an existing config exists, save it,...

[quote=joeh post_id=6601 time=1609115762 user_id=2728] I'm pretty sure when referring to RDP they are talking about disabling it on personal computers. demetry14 wrote: 28 Dec 2020, 11:44 There is no link or tutorial, it's a matter of extracting SPK and TPK, figuring out both structures, reviewing any build guides both have and then lots of repackaging and testing. Regardless linux is linux.
@demetry14

Re: How to protect yourself against encryption-based ransomware?

@ TMroy, Thank you for the guidance. RDP - I cannot find anything in Settings for this. Please advise how to disable RDP in TOS. I disabled Telnet. I did allow SSH access with password. One of my ToDo items with my TNAS is to change the SSH security from password to keys. Given the reports of ransom...

Re: A New Product

I would be interested to see TM make TOS more accepting of 3rd party packages like the Synology SPK's. Your team would be able to output more packages relevant to your userbase instead of people like myself converting them for my own use... Very interesting :idea: Could you share a link/tutorial fo...

Re: WIN TerraMaster NAS F4-210 & DAS D5-300C

NAS and DAS, in general, are both very compelling products. Do I want both? Sure I do. If I can only have one not both which would I chose? Let me go through this NAS vs DAS in reference to the TerraMaster NAS F4-210 & DAS D5-300C. NAS F4-210 delivers file storage, multimedia management, data ba...

Re: A New Product

If I got the details right, OMV is community-driven while FreeNAS/TrueNAS has become a commercial product. DSM by Synology has always been a commercial product. Going for community-driven as opposed to commercial would skirt any issue normally related with commercial product (licensing, branding, di...
