Re: TOS 4.2.43(ARM) is released for update
This statement was added by our engineer, and it is clearly stated that it is a netatalk 3.1.14 with CVEs fixed in 3.1.15. Good they did: thanks for adapting release note since. Netatalk 3.1.15 is not able to run in ARM TOS 4.2 environment with kernel 4.14. It is very strange & uncommon that su...

Re: TOS 4.2.43(ARM) is released for update
1. Updated netatalk version to 3.1.15. Thanks for the update: that was a very-long awaited security update for ARM platform: somehow reassuring that platform is still maintained, albeit not very frequently. Any how, can you clarify this (shh log below)? $ netatalk -v afpd 3.1.14 with CVEs fixed in ...

Re: TOS 4.2.41(ARM) is released for update
Sorry, my fault. There is no SMB option in TOS 4.2 for Time Machine backup. Currently, the Netatalk is not able to be updated. I will keep you informed as soon as it is possible. Can we have an update please, and state TM's position on this long-standing issue (over 1 year)? Netatalk/AFP won't be f...

Re: TOS 4.2.41(ARM) is released for update
How do you enable TimeMachine in current TOS without AFP then?
If TOS can do it, why wasn't it changed earlier, since serious netatalk vulnerabilities was reported over 1 year ago?- 29 Apr 2023, 17:53

Re: TOS 4.2.41(ARM) is released for update
[at=TMroy post_id=26585 time=1682760041 user_id=1656][/at] Sorry but I think you may mix-up several things: TOS requires AFP in order to enable TimeMachine: are you saying Terramaster intends to abandon TimeMachine feature? netatalk support does not depends on TOS 5.1 (it does not require kernel 5.1...

Re: TOS 4.2.41(ARM) is released for update
[at=macmpi post_id=23929 time=1673691997 user_id=81][/at] @TMroy Netatalk 3.1.15 is available, fixing additional CVEs and other bugs. As a reminder ARM TOS currently ships highly vulnerable older netatalk version, that has not been fixed since patches were released over 1 year ago: https://forum.ter...
