Re: After TOS is installed, shared folders with the same name cannot be displayed!
I forgot to update this thread at the time but a few months ago, after a TOS6 Beta update, my /Volume2/PUBLIC folder disappeared from TOS and I had to do a manual Restore as described in the TMRyan's instructions - easily done and I knew what to do so just a minor inconvenience. But then another Bet...

[UI, TOS6, minor] New Shared Folder - Storage Quota prompt has wrong buttons
SEVERITY: minor (user interface improvement) ISSUE: When setting up a new Shared Folder, the user is asked the question "Do you need to set up a storage quota?" but the confirmation prompt options presented are " [Cancel][ Confirm ]) " (<-- underlined here to show preselected de...

[TOS6] File Manager - sorting order of files & folders
SUMMARY: The sorting behaviour in TOS6's File Manager (and elsewhere in TOS, for instance Control Panel->Shared Folder) is, in my opinion, unusual, undesirable, and frustrating. A revision of TOS sorting methods would be most welcome. CURRENT BEHAVIOURS: Column headers in File Manager have no sorti...

Remote Folder->OneDrive - issues [TOS6]
TOS v6.0.512 Control Panel->Remote Folder->OneDrive MY MAIN COMPLAINT: When setting up a Remote Folder for OneDrive and a user clicks the 'Mount Cloud Drive' folder icon, the user is prompted to select a 'Cloud drive directory', ie any 1 OneDrive folder or subfolder in the directory tree picker tha...

Re: TOS 6 - Shared Folders + user permissions prioritization still not correct
have you tried changing some permission and doing a reboot to see if it sticks? Yes, have tried but it still does not work - the Shared Folder-level 'Deny' permission always takes precedent over the per-user folder permission setting. @TMzethar - thanks. I'm attaching an image that visually represe...

TOS 6 - Shared Folders + user permissions prioritization still not correct
Since I got my F2-424 a few months ago, I've been using TOS 6 exclusively, betas first and now v 6.0.507 - and this whole time, I've had an issue with User Permissions not overriding permissions given to a Shared Folder - so some users can't access the files & folders they need. As you'll see be...

Re: TOS 6.0.507 (X86) is Released for Update
I believe you need to press Ctrl+C as soon as it says "/dev/md9 has started", i.e. before the command completes. If you do not do this, it appears that the command continues and unmounts everything again before exiting. I had similar result to you until I did this.Hope this helps. Aha - t...

Re: TOS 6.0.507 (X86) is Released for Update
When I got my F2-424, I installed a brand new NVMe (Volume1), put TOS 5.x on it then immediately updated it to 6.x Beta. Once it was up and running, I shut down and inserted HDDs into the bays, with HDD1 (Volume2) as my main data storage drive. I've installed all the Beta versions since and wasn't a...

Re: User-defined System Disk
Clarification of my last point: @drive & @usb are on /Volume1 but not /Volume2. My assumption was that the /Volume2 versions were newer but checking dates via the stat directoryname command in SSH, it looks like system directories on both Volumes are being accessed still. Here's a screenshot of ...
