Re: [Help] F4-210 NAS Will not add disk to volume
So, the second "solution" caused me to nearly lose everything. I'm in the process of copying everything off that NAS yet again. Can someone post the link to the instructions where you SSH in and cd some place then download a compressed file you expand which resets the NAS to factory first ...

Re: [Help] F4-210 NAS Will not add disk to volume
1. The possible cause is suspected to be that the current volume is occupied by certain services. Check the status of each hard drive in the storage pool and any background tasks. You can also try restarting the NAS before attempting the expansion again. Keep in mind this drive was just stuck in. h...

[Help] F4-210 NAS Will not add disk to volume
All, Been quite a saga with this NAS. The WD RED 4TB drives had one failure and another one about to fail after only 3 years. Bit the bullet and took advantage of a sale Seagate official store had on 14TB drives. Bought four (4). First one installed had the high pitched whine of a stuck head. Config...

Re: F4-210 annoying chirp
There is "officially retired" an then there is abandoned by future development. TOS 6.x doesn't run on F4-210 per that article. Been abandoned since TOS 5.x. https://www.reddit.com/r/TerraMaster/comments/124tvm1/new_terramaster_f4210/?rdt=64923 Pretty much time to set up a Mint or Rocky Li...

Re: F4-210 annoying chirp
How do I identify the date of manufacture? SN-A1T200801591 I don't see anything obvious for Date of Manufacture. Was hoping to get another few years out of this, but if it is over 5 years old probably approaching EOL. Maybe it is time to go back to just using a PC as a file server like I used to do ...

Re: F4-210 annoying chirp
Well, blowing it out didn't fix it. Now I have to fight the battle of getting it on the correct network again. I forget how I fixed this last time. Ever since I moved to real Internet (100up/down) (hey, don't laugh, I had 25Mbps down and 3 up before because for over a decade that was the best there...

Re: F4-210 annoying chirp
Hello, our device currently only emits a beeping sound. Based on what you've mentioned, the F4-210 is an older model, so it's likely that the sound is coming from a malfunctioning hardware component, such as the fan. A thorough inspection will be needed to identify the issue. I would think a fan wo...

Re: F4-210 annoying chirp
(everyone uses Linux today ) "Oh No They Don't!" {We love a good Pantomime ;) } But really, I suspect the vast majority use MAC or Windows. If you have a linux desktop, you have a browser like everyone else. There is also a version of the "TNAS PC" for linux ubuntu, android and ...
