Re: TOS 6 (beta) / BACKUP MAC TO TNAS/TDAS WITH TIME MACHINE
DISREGARD THIS POST!!! Back up just appeared on the TOS bar at top of screen. For some reason the bar icons and the "dashboard" icons did not appear the first few times I opened the home page. They were squares or not there at all. The squares are all icons and missing icons are now there!...

Re: TOS 6 (beta) / BACKUP MAC TO TNAS/TDAS WITH TIME MACHINE
More on this... A Mac running the latest Apple IOS (Sonoma ver 14.4.1) can only see the public folder on the NAS. Though from the finder I see all the shared folders on the NAS. A older Mac mini (Catalina 10.15.7) can see every and all Shared Drives on the NAS. Both have the same firewall software, ...

Re: New Shared Folders don't show on networked MACs
OMG, Gremlin you gave me the guidance I needed!!! I set them all up using "no limit"... and they did not show as shared on my network. You mentioned permissions as the issue so I tried setting permissions "by user" and then selected ALL the users. I NOW HAVE SHARED FOLDERS!!!! Th...

Re: New Shared Folders don't show on networked MACs
Don’t understand your response.
I’m trying to get the TOS shared folders to be seen on other Mac computers that are on my network. This post is not about an issue of transferring files. My question on this post is about the shared folders you create in the TOS.

Re: Transfer data from USB Drive to NAS
My drive I want to copy files from is just an external drive formatted APFS for Macs.
From other posts on this tread it sounds like NTFS also doesn't let you copy files off the drive when using the USB ports.
Sounding like the USB is only to add storage and let you back up your NAS.

New Shared Folders don't show on networked MACs
I'm new to NAS tech...going to love it if it works! Setting up my new F3-423. Creating shared folders. I created a few, they worked. I saw them on network MACs and logons. I then discovered how limited TOS_5 is with mapping folders to different apps, so I had to delete my folder structure to create ...

New to this whole NAS thing...very impressed by it...its all going to so much nicer the running things thru a Apple Mini Server! With that said, as I set things up and load the NAS. is there anyway to attach to the NAS the USB drive with all my data so I can transfer it onto the NAS? Currently I see...
