UPS losing connection to TOS
I bought a Cyber Power CST150UC-FC Battery Backup UPS. I checked and it was not listed on the compatibility list but since I was buying it from Costco, I knew they have a good return policy if it didn't work. Long story short, it didn't work right, so I purchased a different Cyber Power UPS from the...

Abnormal shut down from power failure
The power went off and my two NAS units lost power and when they came back on there was a system message indicating an abnormal shutdown and I should check my data and array for corruption.
Is there a corruption checker software program I should run?
Next, I plan to buying a UPS.

It's the next day now and the CPU is back down to virtually zero.

Shows running sluggish
My F4-423 showed a message that it was running sluggish and the CPU meter was at 99%. By the time I took a screenshot, the warning changed to running slow. Screenshot 2024-03-12 124222.png All that was going on with the TNAS, is I was updating my Plex media files. ie: detecting intros and credits. A...

Re: 2.5 Gbps networking question
I have hooked up the 2.5G switch to my F4-223 & F4-423 and I am very happy now to see 2.5G connection speed between them.
I had really expected not to have to buy this switch since both TNAS had dual 2.5G LAN connections.

Re: 2.5 Gbps networking question
@Gremlin
Thank you for your insight and explanation on this matter.
I have to admit, the way the two LAN ports work on the back of the TNAS is not the functionality I was expecting.
I have taken your advice from earlier and ordered a 2.5G switch.

Re: 2.5 Gbps networking question
OK, maybe I have it. Your LAN 1 and LAN 2 are still both on the same (192.168.7.nnn) network segment. I am interested in your translation/perspective of this response I received today from TM support. I don't totally understand what they are telling me to do or what the problem is. We believe that ...

I have no idea why this forum is not putting in the line spacings I make. It looks good when I write it out, but once it is posted its all crammed together. I'll try logging out and back in again for my next posting.

Re: 2.5 Gbps networking question
[at=Gremlin post_id=33650 time=1709831654 user_id=6052][/at] Thanks for your thoughts on this, you are likely right, but I do not know enough about networking to act on your information. Do I need to make a change to the interface settings on one or both of my TNAS devices, or is this a setting chan...
