Re: [Help] F4-423 is dying/dead
Okay, when you say use a wire to short it: It is taken apart and unpowered. I take out the battery. Connect to the+ - terminals. Am I plugging it in and starting it? Is it on first? I needmore instructions please! I found more detailed instructions. Same thing. Same dull click and then it attempts ...

Re: [Help] F4-423 is dying/dead
Can I just replace the battery or do I need to use the cord?
Can it have anything to do with the initboot being corrupted, or is the first beep just the hardware bios check?

Re: [Help] F4-423 is dying/dead
No beep codes, nothing comes up on the hdmi. There isn't even an initial beep. It's just the light comes on for 10 seconds and it is like the click of a bulb turning off, not a beep. And it will just cycle like that for as long as I let it. If i hold down power to turn it off, nothing happens, cycle...

[Help] F4-423 is dying/dead
So I have had my f4-423 for about 3 years. Followed installation instructions, was working great. I had a little snafu with upgrading to sick but the team helped me through it. Everything was up and running and I had it back to I like it. 2 days ago I came home and it was off. I tried to restart it ...

[Help] Sharing folder after reinstall
So I recently upgraded from 5 to 6. It was a bit of a nightmare and in the end I had to take all the drives out, buy an external nvme enclosure, low level format them, put in 1 and start it with the newest boot loader (thanks @tmzethar). Im on 6.0.77 now. I plugged in my hdds while the nas was on an...

Re: TOS 5.1.145 (X86) is Released for Update
Thank you soooo much zethar. The superblock seemed to do it. Everything is up and running. One last question. I have a folder on my Volume2 (raid) that was the public folder in the last system that was a shared folder. It has the little lock on it and it doesn't show up anywhere in the os but I can ...

Re: TOS 5.1.145 (X86) is Released for Update
This is what I have done since yesterday. I completely wiped the NVME. All partitions, low level format. Didn't even bother with disk genius, just used easeus partition manager, because when I used disk genius to format the 8 gb partition, it still ended in the same way. The low level format seems t...

Re: TOS 5.1.145 (X86) is Released for Update
Thank you. Ill do it a little later. I was hoping that by going through the bios and disabling it as a boot option it would load. Is it possible to load Ubuntu on it and format it that way? I still dont understand why I was able to get it to 6.0.53 and it was working fine but when I did the auto up...
