there is no user named "root" in TOS. But there is a user with the name of the user you used for TOS installation. This user has UID 0 which you can use to connect via SSH and acts as root equivalent

You only need to replace the internal usb stick. there are some guides to install other os, look for truenas on terramaster.

AFAIK there was no progress since last time i asked. You may have access to the bios (which is important enough for the boot order), but its not a fully flavored console at run time

Looks like installing DockerManager 1.2.6 really solved the name resolution problem. Need to reconfigure my monitoring to the new @DockerData directory
