Re: How to add RAM module to TerraMaster NAS
[at=Matt post_id=23383 time=1671769816 user_id=6036][/at] This is not an airport. Nobody needs to know about your departure. And I didn't need your opinion about my post. Alas, welcome to freedom of expression. Hardware locking bad. Price gouging bad. Failure to respond to customer bad. Terrmaster ...

Re: How to add RAM module to TerraMaster NAS
I simply jumped ship and abandoned TerraMaster. I not only posted here, I emailed as well. Never got a reply about them intentionally blocking RAM from other vendors.
Deceitful and despicable. Best of luck all.

Re: F4-423 DDR4 memory modules upgrade
[at=Matt post_id=23015 time=1670132661 user_id=6036][/at] $50 for 32GB DDR 4? Need to avoid refurbished or C grade RAM stick. $50 for 16GB could be a reasonable price. I have no idea what C grade ram is. Something locale specific or vendor specific? There is no industry standard that defines RAM in...

Re: How to add RAM module to TerraMaster NAS
This is amazingly shortsighted of TerraMaster. They have grown their marketshare on the back of being the more affordable hardware platform.
Charging 560% more than other vendors for identical RAM means I'll be returning my purchase unless they reverse course.

Re: F4-423 DDR4 memory modules upgrade
Purchased a F4-423 over Black Friday. Unless I can get 3rd party RAM working, I will be returning. Locking people into their own walled garden of hardware is a reason I left Synology. Price gouging for RAM on top of locking vendors is simply awful. $300 for 32GB of DDR4 that costs $50 elsewhere is r...

Re: SSD Compatibility List (will be continuously updated)
Sabrent Rocket NVMe 4.0 worked in the F4-423.
Put 2x 1tb in, and they were detected fine. Still building them into pool.
