Re: Why Do Operations Such as Repairing the File System, Expanding Volumes, Adding or Removing SSD Cache Fail?
I filled up form on technical support request icon, and occasionally it requires to download logs, put it on some cloud drive and send a link to TS. Pretty confusing, heh. Well, forget it. We had already had TNAS unsolved problems in the past. Nothing new. They DID NOT solved that case: From: <remove...

Re: Why Do Operations Such as Repairing the File System, Expanding Volumes, Adding or Removing SSD Cache Fail?
This command simply shuts down the process that is occupying the mount point, and has nothing to do with your RAID. If your RAID stops for other unknown reasons, you can still reassemble it by restarting TNAS if your RAID is normal. If your SSH connection drops after typing this command, it may be ...

Re: Why Do Operations Such as Repairing the File System, Expanding Volumes, Adding or Removing SSD Cache Fail?
A Question for Terramaster team. Why this script does format all the RAID instead of formatting only specified hyper cache SSD drive?

Re: Why Do Operations Such as Repairing the File System, Expanding Volumes, Adding or Removing SSD Cache Fail?
P.S. And more. I lost all the data on TRAID following this instruction. BE VERY CAREFUL DOING THIS. After doing fuser -mk /Volume1 system closed ssh connection and stops responding at all (web console stops too). I'm trying to add NVME 960Gb Samsung EVO as SSD Cache and failed at step "assigned...

After doing fuser -mk /Volume1 system closed ssh connection and stops responding at all (web console stops too). I'm trying to add NVME 960Gb Samsung EVO as SSD Cache and failed at step "assigned to" . This field is not filled and I cannot get any step further. https://i.postimg.cc/64pBDV8...

Re: TOS 5.1.145 (X86) is Released for Update
Did you fixed MS LDAP integration bug shown in too long time to load LDAP users?
Your tech supp cannot fix this, so we still have to use 5.1.123

After upgrade to 5.1.123 at 14-Feb-24 TNAS cannot join MS domain
We need syslog, which wont work in 5.1.40 well, so we upgrade to 5.1.123 and we lost MS active directory. Same bugs at every update. I wrote to tech support at almost every day, but I believe they continue to celebrate Festival of Spring. My last e-mail was at 20.02.2024. No reaction. If company wan...

Re: Snapshot orpan files cannot be removed
Another idea for Terramaster R&D: 1. An administrator should be reported if snapshot size is over threshold, e.g. snaphot size is bigger than 5% of total RAID size, else free space may be easily lost and system performance would suffer of extra disk i/o and processor load. 2. Making snapshots sh...

Re: Snapshot orpan files cannot be removed
I believe! A snapshot that is not protected (by 'read only' file system for example) is not worth much as a system protection. However, as I learnt to my cost, if you play around with the snapshots, they will chew up space. Again, for example, if you copy a snapshot to another location (thinking to...

Re: Snapshot orpan files cannot be removed
After adding of new disk I have another problem. I lost, for unknown reason, all iSCSI targets and LUNs definitions.
A question for all these techsupp guys, who ignores this post - HOW TO RESTORE IT?
