Re: permissions in backup directory don't save
I just ran these commands, but still can't see the directories in the file browser. The shared folders do appear under the control panel, and when I ssh in. cd / umount /mnt/md1 e2fsck -p /dev/mapper/vg1-lv1 /etc/tos/scripts/mntdata e2fsck -b 32768 /dev/mapper/vg1-lv1 -y e2fsck -f /dev/mapper/vg1-lv...

Re: permissions in backup directory don't save
After at least a dozen reinstalls of TOS and experimenting with different configurations nothing works. I've contacted tech support with logs, but no help there. I've given up on using an encrypted directory. As you can see in the screenshot, I have 2 shared directories on Volume#2 for a dedicated b...

Re: permissions in backup directory don't save
The backup mode is rsync, with "Backup modified files and folders only" selected.
The main problem is that I can't see the files that are being backed up. No way to access them if the main NAS dies.

permissions in backup directory don't save
I cant get r/w permissions on a backup directory I use on my TOS4. I've gone in here multiple times through multiple reboots and different ways. I've used 2 different admin users to try to make the backup files accessible, but the changes never "stick" when i go back to the page. Screensho...

cant backup home folder through rsync
I have two terramaster NAS servers.
TOS5 is my main
TOS4 is an Rsync server that TOS5 backs up to.
I can backup my public folder, but it doesn't look like there is a way to backup my private/home directory.

Re: Can't access F4-210 or F2-423
I'll focus on the F2-423 First. I try to log on with three different users that were defined in the system: admin, superuser, and MyName. admin: Error: Operation failed; invalid username or password superuser: Error "User not exists!" MyName: Error "User not exists!" Popped out t...

Re: Can't access F4-210 or F2-423
Its alarming that these types of catastrophic operating system failures happen with a simple power loss. I understand having an incomplete file that might have been in the middle of a transfer, but this is unreal. How do I prevent these types of failures? I have both devices on UPS battery backups.

Lost power after ssd benchmark. Won't power back on
I just installed heatsinks on a raid 0 of 2 ssd hypercaches.
I was curious if the benchmark read speeds would be any different.
The NAS lost power after a minute, and now it won't power back on. I unplugged it for a couple minutes before trying again.
