Sadly this is the only thing that TOS does wrong for me.
I briefly installed Ubuntu and Virtual box on mine and could add USB devices to a VM so it is not a hardware problem.

Re: TOS 5.1.37 (X86) is Released for update
The auto fan is also broken on the F5-422. Like others have said, it runs at medium when the NAS is inactive and drops to zero shortly after I login to the look at the resource monitor overview. First of all, the fan speed is automatically adjusted according to the hard disk temperature. However, d...

A nice easy one. Spelling mistake File Service screen
I imagine there may be bigger issues to resolve but, at least this is easy
On the advance section of the SMB tab within File Service ‘Do not reserve disk space when...' has the word 'creating' spelt as 'creacting'.
If this has already been raised, then I missed it in my search.

Re: SSD Compatibility List (will be continuously updated)
I have been running 3 Samsung 870 QVO 4TB in TRAID for the last couple of weeks and they appear to be working fine having half filled them with data.

Virtual Media Manager Missing resize option
I am currently just playing with virtualbox and have notice that the ability to resize dynamic virtual disks is missing from the virtual media manager. It is not a big deal to me at the moment but, others may need this at some point in the future. Does anyone know if there are any plans to support t...

Re: New F5-422 Memory Upgrade to 8Gb not possible?
I think the main board has been revised and there is now only 2GB soldered on and a 2GB DIMM in the slot to get the 4GB model. Problem is I don't think you can now expand to 8GB as advertised. You can likely verify that easily, just remove the sodimm that currently populated & boot the NAS whil...
