USB Copy app causes HDDs to not sleep
After much trial and error, I believe I found the culprit for my HHDs not sleeping. If I enable the USB Copy app and perform a backup to a usb device, I then eject the USB device and no backups are running or scheduled backups, the HDDs will never sleep after this. Even if I disable the app (without...

Re: Transfer speeds rollercoaster
I wanted to post an update here as I did some more experimentation. 1. I believe I saw the same behavior with the SSD cache because the "jump SSD cache" was enabled. For some reason, I was not able to disable this. It would say the operation was successful, but when reloading the UI it wou...

Transfer speeds rollercoaster
I have an F2-423 and recently upgraded my home network to 2.5G. My F2-423 has 2x10TB Seagate 7200rpm enterprise drives capable of 280MB/s sustained writes in RAID1 configuration. It's one storage pool and single volume using btrfs. When transferring a large amount of data to the NAS, the speeds will...

Re: Firewall Rules Help
Now it seems with the allow rule for my local network, the TNAS is not able to talk to the internet. So my elephant backup, checking for updates, etc. does not work while the rule is enabled. The rules seem to only be for incoming and I don't see a way to allow outbound traffic to the internet. How ...

Re: Firewall Rules Help
I was mixing up two octets in my local IP address range. Numbers were similar, so I wasn't picking up on it at first. I was able to get the rule added. Thank you.

Re: Firewall Rules Help
Possible to get any help with the above? Am I thinking about the Firewall wrong?
There's not much documentation on how it works under the hood and not sure why it won't allow me to "Allow" my local subnet/network.

Firewall Rules Help
I'm not sure if I'm understanding the Firewall correctly. I am trying to create an "Allow" rule for my local IP address range and allow all ports. However, the UI is giving me an error stating that to config is not valid. I was then going to create a "Deny" rule for everything el...
