NAS became Read Only

I am on update 5.1.24 and hadnt changed anything for weeks, just moving files back and fourth on the NAS. Then one day I try to batch edit files on the NAS (resizing a lot of pictures automatically) and the Windows app I was using for that stopped due to write errors on the NAS. I then tried to writ...

Re: TOS 5.1.24 is released for update!

This update killed my TOS installation. F5-221 I was on TOS 5.0.176, manually tried to update to 5.1.24, and got an error "Update failed". I redownload the update and try again. Installation gets to 95% and stops. I wait 30 minutes and nothing happens. The NAS and SMB share are 'offline', ...

Re: Urgent! .LOCK3D ransomware is attacking your TNAS

When there are urgent issues like this, Terramaster should email people who have registered their email in the app and forum. I only check this forum monthly, unless I need help, most people probably check it even less. It would be very beneficial to send emails as soon as these issues are found.

Re: TOS 5.0.135 (x.86) is Released for Update

I am also having the same issue as others with excessive CPU usage causing the TOS page to be nearly unusable. I installed TOS 5 the other day, using the 5.0.135 initialization installer. Everything was going fine, until I restarted my NAS and then it seems like it decided to index all the thumbnail...

Re: How to reinstall TOS for your TNAS?

[at=TerraNas2 post_id=19985 time=1658278435 user_id=4736][/at] In TOS 5, warning is warning, please take any warning seriously. If you receive such a warning during installation, that means there is no system partition found on your drive, or maybe your file system is corrupted, your drive is going...

Re: How to re-install your TOS?

[at=hopps402 post_id=8200 time=1612563966 user_id=3088][/at] This notice will be removed in future new release. BUT to avoid accidents, it is recommanded to backup data before your reinstalling. Was this warning about erasing data during custom initialization with an existing install ever fixed? I ...

Re: The Brand New TOS 5 is Released!

I am wanting to upgrade to TOS 5. But I want to double check a few things before I try to upgrade. 1. "Reset to Factory Default" and installing TOS 5 only removes the user settings, but NOT user data? Correct? I do not have anywhere to backup 30TB of data so I want to make sure that I am n...
