Re: Poor D8 performance

In testing, the performance does indeed drop when copying small files. This is a read operation from the D8 to another TB array. Copying larger files shows excellent performance, over 500MBps. These files are mostly eml files, json, xmls, etc. Does anyone else experience this on their array?

Re: Poor D8 performance

I should add, when I conduct large file transfers to another system over the network (10GBe ethernet), it will copy between 400-600MBps. When I copy or delete a lot of smaller files, the performance degrades significantly.

Poor D8 performance

I've had poor performance from a new D8 since the time I purchased it. I didn't know how poor it was until I started troubleshooting REALLY bad forensic processing times. Turns out it's performing like a single spinning disk, or worse. I updated RAID drivers and TB software. There is no updated BIOS...

Re: RAID user

It appears the uninstall application doesn't clean things up appropriately, and it's leaving C:\Windows\hptuser.dat and not deleting it. After you reinstall, delete this file. Or you can just stop the HighPoint RAID service, delete the file, then start it again - and your RAID password will be reset...

Re: RAID user

This did not work, I tried uninstalling the RAID manager twice with a restart. Login still fails with the default "hpt" password. I also emailed support and haven't received an answer, which is why I'm posting here. I emailed a week ago... please help, I have a $2000 brick on my desk. Thanks

RAID user

I got a D8 a few days ago, and the first thing I did was change the RAID user password from the default to my own password that I use on every appliance I own... and now I can't get in. Seeing as I use the password often, I highly highly doubt I entered it wrong twice. Anyone experience this? Can I ...
