F5-422 How To Update?
Hi all
I feel like I can no longer put off the inevitable and would like to avoid the previous issues I have had so can someone please give me a step-by-step guide to update my F5-422 from TOS 4 to TOS 5?
I would be forever grateful

Re: The TOS 6 Beta Is Now Available for Public Testing
Has anyone tried this on an F5-422? TOS5 was a disaster for me so I'm hoping this version works better.

F5-422 TOS5 or not?
Hi all
I have recently bought an F5-422 and I am not sure whether to try upgrading to TOS5 or not. Is there any advantage to upgrading, in terms of disk speed, etc?
Thanks

Should I go back to TOS4?
I have found that since 'upgrading' to TOS5 (yes I partitioned it properly), I am having all kinds of problems; The system seems sluggish, to update to the latest beta of Emby takes 30 minutes to install instead of 30 seconds like it did on TOS4. I am using EXT4 on my F5-221 and use it only to watch...

Re: Emby updating to beta
I have the same issue, also when trying to install the latest Emby package, it takes about 30 minutes. Doing the same thing on TOS4 though takes seconds.

Re: How can I update to TOS5?
Thanks. I haven't got a ups I'm afraid. I used BTRFS on my desktop but I've not had great results with it on the NAS, although that could be because the root partition was too small.
I think I'll stick to TRAID and EXT4 when I install TOS5 though.
Thanks again for your help

Out of curiosity, do you use BTRFS or EXT4?

Re: How can I update to TOS5?
Hi, thanks for you reply. I didn't realise the root partition was on the hard drives, I thought there was some internal flash memory in the NAS. This makes things much more clear and much easier to do. I will try it out later. I have a 'caddy' that I can plug the hard drives into and I can use parte...
