I'm not aware of any special Intel drivers for Ubuntu. Ubuntu works fine on a NUC. I have seen no errors. In fact, I don't believe I've seen any errors in dmesg.

Drivers are only available for MAC OS and Windows

There is no indication on the enclosure itself other than D5, my receipt indicates a D5-330.
The drives are Seagate Exos - 16T.

D5 sleeps on reboot.
I have a D5 connected to an Intel NUC with a thunderbolt 3 port. I'm running ubuntu 20.10. Whenever I reboot the D5 goes into sleep mode (led lights red) and stays there. I then have to power it on and off, sometimes multiple times, to have the NUC recognize the drives. Once recognized it works well...
