Re: Loss of IP address on reboot
Thanks for that swift response, @TMpraj. Much appreciated. Let me clarify: As this address is static, I would not expect it to change when the machine is power cycled. If this port's address were dependent on a DHCP server I would expect it to be handed an address consistent with the subnet. This is...

Loss of IP address on reboot
This device is the F4-223 running TOS 5.1.123. With this version of the operating system, and, I seem to remember, with previous versions, I've found that after shutting down the system, whether to upgrade the firmware or simply to give it a rest, on powering up again it enters a state where it can'...

Re: The TOS 6 Beta Is Now Available for Public Testing
> If you need to report a bug, please send a description of the bug, reproduction steps, and screenshots to the designated email: pm@terra-master.com. I don't believe this is the optimal way to run a useful beta test. Email-based bug reporting is certainly simple to set up and easy for testers to us...

Re: TerraMaster HyperLock-WORM File System
Many thanks, @mightymouse, for that very full explanation. I had suspected that the HyperLock-WORM feature was solely a function of the TOS 5 domain but I was waiting for confirmation before physically removing the two NVMes providing the physical storage. There was always a (very remote) possibilit...

No mention here of a TNAS PC update for Linux. Has this been discontinued?

Re: TerraMaster HyperLock-WORM File System
I've been in correspondence with Terramaster support about how to remove the HyperLock-WORM feature from an NVMe drive. Tested Technology has been reviewing the F4-223 and TOS5 and we wanted to include a discussion of this feature in our final article in the series. Our test set the WORM expiry date...

Re: SSD Compatibility List (will be continuously updated)
…but at the age of 72, time seems to move a bit faster for me. Me too, ten years ahead of you, and it's getting faster still. Have you ever wondered why this might be? I'm pretty sure I've discovered the answer: We mentally measure time present in terms of the percentage of time spent on the planet...

Re: Bricked by Speedtest from the Community Forum
A couple of hours later and the NAS is back on the LAN. The annoying thing is, We don't know how this happened. Something we did? A function of having done several reboots? Whatever the case, it would be useful to know what the official procedure should be when the NAS disappears from the LAN. Attac...

Bricked by Speedtest from the Community Forum
Tested Technology is getting together a supplement to its four-part story of TOS 5 on an F4-223 . We're hoping to report on the installation of a pair of NVMe drives together with the use of the NAS's two 2.5Gb/s Ethernet ports bonded using LACP. We've had some success with the NVMe installation and...

Re: F2-223 dropping off the LAN
I do regularly use a VPN on my browser, but it's generally set to bypass LAN traffic. That is to say, whether I'm using the VPN or not, my local browser is always talking directly to my NAS over the LAN. If this issue persists this is something I can investigate further. Thanks for the heads-up, @TM...
