Re: TOS 5.0.129 (x.86) is Released for Update

Just switched to TOS 5 on my F2-422 with 5.0.125. Got an error that a disk was at risk, which I considered to be a glitch so I powered it off and turned it back on and it now stated both disks are good as I expected. The install was smooth besides that minor issue. I am shocked I actually got an ema...

You should be getting a screen to reset your password. I use Chrome and it shows up.

Re: WIN TerraMaster NAS F4-210 & DAS D5-300C

I like the NAS since it can be accessed throughout the network on multiple devices. The idea of a DAS connected to a PC for Plex/Steam purposes sounds good though!

Re: Transfer rates copying files to NAS are slow and sporadic

[at=iain.hodgman post_id=6695 time=1609255645 user_id=2727][/at] Very appreciate your coming back with testing report. We will use a same WD Blue and exact a same TNAS model to verify if it is a software issue or just an individual hardware issue, although we do not recommanded WD blue, but for tes...

Re: Transfer rates copying files to NAS are slow and sporadic

The F5-221 went back to Amazon and a Synology 1520+ has arrived to replace it. I thought I'd install the WD blue drives first as they are new and were lying around unused. If I still had speed issues with copying data, I'd use the WD Reds to at least prove whether the issue was hard drive related r...

[at=TMroy post_id=6656 time=1609216455 user_id=1656][/at] Screenshot_20201229-001014_Chrome.jpg So the IHTeam timeline shows they found out about it Nov 2nd and made TM aware and TM confirmed on Nov 17. The firmware update released early December resolved the exploits and IHTeam made it public on De...

Re: My TerraMaster F2-210 has been infected by Ransomware eCh0raix / QNAPCrypt

[at=StanHK post_id=6626 time=1609148919 user_id=2045][/at] It sucks to lose data like that. Keep in mind that although a NAS can be used for backup purposes you should always have a backup located offsite (physical or cloud) or elsewhere that doesn't have the risk of getting infected. I've had the F...
