From your proposed work arounds, it implies that the Mac recognises the Raid, however my M3 MacBook Pro does not recognise the raid at all.

Same problem here. Mine was working fine on Sonoma 14.1 until I installed the recent update to Sonoma 14.1.1
To be clear, mine (on a M1 Mac mini) was working fine on 14.1 It's the latest minor update that killed it.

OK. I finally got it working on my M1 Mac mini - Thanks. Learnings: 1. No T2 Security chip on the M1 Mac Mini - so that bit is easy. 2. I've just tried, but couldn't get it to work. I can't get to see the version number and my M1 Mac mini can't see the drives.
