Restore deleted files after setting a wrong task
Hi there, I've made a terrible mistake while copying files with USB Copy : I've set a task to miror a drive on the my Public root folder.... Before I've detected the problem, several TBs were deleted :o . I'm on TOS4.2.41, F4-210. What can I do to restore the deleted files ? I'm pretty sure there's ...

Re: F4-210 Initialization problem
Hi there,
A quick update : since I've restarted and unselected DoS protection, it seems to run fine.
I've "USB copy"-ed around 1TB tpday and everything looks good for now.
So I guess the freeze I encountered was linked to the DoS parameter somehow...

Re: Backup Progress Indicator for USB Copy
+1 for a progress bar in USB Copy. For the name, I don't mind a lot but on my side I'm using this for actually copying files (can be in both directions) and later also for backup purposes. Regarding features, I would be happy to get a log about the tasks done (maybe with some statistics details on t...

Re: F4-210 Initialization problem
So I've restarted the system, and it's working (so far). I've haven't made an analysis of the disks through. I was thinking "DOS protection" was kind of part of TOS but it's the DoS attack protection you were speaking about. Why should this have an influence on the TOS stability ?? I canno...

Re: F4-210 Initialization problem
Sorry it's not completely clear : should I power off manually the NAS ?
What is the DOS protection ?

Re: F4-210 Initialization problem
I tried something but it seems it was not a good idea : I've unplugged the network cable and put it back but it seems the NAS cannot reconnect to the network now (back lights staying dark now...)
To me, the system is completely stucked ! And the hardrives are keeping running for nothing.

Re: F4-210 Initialization problem
No, it has no effect !
Just tried to connect via SSH and I got this message after login :
"/bin/bash: Cannot allocate memory
Connection to 192.168.12.108 closed."
Should I unplug it from electricity ? But I don't want to kill 2 brand new hard drives !

Re: F4-210 Initialization problem
What worries me is that the disks are remaining active since 2hours while (apparently) there's no more data on it !
And I don't want to brutally unplug electricity while they are turning...
