Re: TOS 4.2.44 is Released for Update
The kernel version of the F2-210/F4-210 device cannot continue to be updated, so it is not possible to use TOS5/6. this seems to the first time anyone at TM has made a decision on this, previously it has just been we will look into it, so i guess theres going to be a lot of unhappy people who have ...

Re: TOS 4.2.43(ARM) is Released for Update
i'm sure this is missing the point but if the aim is to just use your phone while at home (or on the same network as the nas drive) then you can just a file manager app like the built in files or i tend to prefer owl files, and connect to the drives over a network share if you can create a VPN serv...

Re: TOS 4.2.43(ARM) is Released for Update
Yeah m'y F2-210 IS working well too But, having an OS with no security patch and even with legal update (i mean take a look AT the licence change of libnet, it IS an obligation to update it, because actually the libnet wich IS our NAS IS not legal...) Re: TOS 4.2.43(ARM) is Released for Update
it is a tough decision i suppose, one that gets easier to swallow as my unit gets older for example this year my F2-210 will be 4 years old and does just sit in a comms cabinet and work, does everything i need it to do (its got no access into it from the router) so i guess technically theres no real...

Re: iDrive Client please?
add anther one from about idrive, ive just recommended TM nas drive at work and this would be perfect if it supported IDrive, rather than going from one of our servers to read the data across to the nas drive to back it up

Re: TOS 4.2.43(ARM) is Released for Update
[at=sianderson post_id=30423 time=1697568519 user_id=2074][/at] It is difficult to use a higher version of the kernel on the 210 series model, so it cannot fully support BTRFS. Due to data security reasons, we have already cancelled the support for BTRFS on the 210 series models. the point was that...

Re: TOS 4.2.43(ARM) is Released for Update
Apple has deprecated AFP since Mac OS 11 Big Sur, Sorry but this is irrelevant statement and a bad interpretation of macOS AFP server deprecation in late versions. netatalk is REQUIRED by TOS to support TimeMachine macOS clients backup , which is one selling point of TM product: would TM remove tha...
