Re: What would cause just one of two F5-221 just disapere from the network?
BTW, when I contacted tnas support regarding buying a new I/o board they wouldn't sell me one. Only interested in selling me an entire new machine. Incidentally, the same machine also has an intermittent on-off button. Once in a while the machine will power on by itself, not in accordance with the p...

Re: What would cause just one of two F5-221 just disapere from the network?
I have the same with two f2-221s. Both connected side by side to the same switch. Been happening for years. Even if I rearrange the network cables, it's ialways the same server. It hasn't mattered any version of the TOS. I assume it's the I/O board. When it happens the machine can't be pinged and it...

Re: Adding a disk
So I've only recently bought my F2-223 and due to money I only bought one disk to put into, which I've put my data onto. I've now ordered a second disk with a view to RAID 1, can I just add the second disk into slot two and get the data to duplicate from disk 1, to disk 2? Bonus question: I'm alrea...

Tnas certificate about to expire
The *.tnas certificate from Digicert expires in 3 days. The update button is grayed out when the certificate is highlighted. I have reviewed other threads where the advice was to activate tnas.online but I don't use tnas.online and don't want to. Is this certificate only used for tnas.online? If tha...

Re: How to reinstall TOS for your TNAS?
I seem to be having a similar issue to others trying to do a software update from the GUI. It gets as far as "unzipping the software package" and hangs at that. I have the F4-422 and am trying to update from 4.2.40 and have tried both 5.0.176 and 5.1.24 update packages from the download p...

I didn't specify the directories for the terra photos data. Where are the default locations? I need to add to my daily rsync backups.

How to edit the facial recognition "groups"
I just started using Terra Photos and let it run facial recognition against 12000 photos. It took a long time but it created about 380 "groups". Each group has a thumbnail of one individual. When opening the group to review there are some people who don't belong (the wrong AI match). How c...
