Re: F2-221 Random Network Disconnects
Sorry to hear of your incessant LAN dropouts. The updates do not seem to work very well and I was constantly restarting. I had to send it back and get a Synology. Its a shame as I did like it, but too unstable. There are plenty of happy customers on Amazon reviews so I guess there is something very ...

Re: F2-221 Random Network Disconnects
No problem. Thanks for reply. My NAS is my backup, I don't have another drive large enough to hold the 1tb stored in it. Is my data not safe in the NAS? Thanks Sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought you were on 4.0.09 without upgrading and downgrading. Please backup your data first, and delete th...

Re: F2-221 Random Network Disconnects
Hi Sorry, I don't think you read my post. I did already upgrade from 4.0.9 to 4.1.27 and the NAS was off the network within 2 hours. So, I have reverted to 4.0.9 again. Are you now suggesting I do the exactly same thing again and upgrade to 4.1.27? Post by jlindsay » Yesterday, 14:55 Hi I hadn't uni...

Re: F2-221 Random Network Disconnects
Hi I hadn't uninstalled any apps. I downgraded to 4.0.9 and it has been running perfectly for two weeks. But, I can't stay on that version forever, I assume. So I upgraded to 4.1.27 and within two hours the NAS was gone again. There was a version in between. I think it was 4.1.18? The automatic upda...

Re: F2-221 Random Network Disconnects
Ok, well after TOS re-install the NAS seems to be stable and no dropouts so far. Looks like the manual re-install of TOS is the TerraMaster equivalent of "have you turned your PC off and on again?"...

Re: F2-221 Random Network Disconnects
Just did manual re-install with latest OSagain 4.1.27. Seems ok so far, but will know in a few hours :). One thingto note (which may happen to others) is that my folder permissions were reset, so I thought the data had been lost but I just had to go back into Control Panel>Shared Folders and reset m...

Re: F2-221 Random Network Disconnects
Thanks for your help! Hi Does that manual install wipe your raid/data or just refresh the OS? Thanks! Hi, download 4.1.27 from http://dl.terra-master.com/cn/TOS_S2.0_Install_X64_4.1.27_2006301044_2006301431.ins and install it via the control panel. I found that 4.1.21 gave me random disconnects, but...

Re: F2-221 Random Network Disconnects
Hi Does that manual install wipe your raid/data or just refresh the OS? Thanks! I have 4.1.21-2003031748 which reports to be the latest and I am reluctant to downgrade (unless I get officially informed that it will fix the issue). My Mac OS (two different machines with Catalina 10.15.5) both disconn...

Re: F2-221 Random Network Disconnects
Hi Same problem for me. Just bought Model F2-221 a week ago on TOS 4.1.27-2006301044 using windows 10 or android phones via app and NAS drops off network after a couple of hours or even less. Applied static IP via TOS and my Asus router (never had this problem with any other device) and locked all o...
