SMART error 188 Command Timeout is a critical parameter, If there are a lot of command timeouts on your disk and the number keeps rising, you should be alert.

No matter RAID 1 or RAID 5, the insertion of a faulty hard disk even if it fails to synchronize, it should not cause the entire array to fail.
