Re: The TOS 6 Beta Is Now Available for Public Testing
Just updated (praying to all the saints in Heaven) my F2-221. The NAS updated successfully, rebooted and is currently reachable both via the new Windows application and via TOS Desktop. I sincerely hope that everything continues like this... Thats is because the version that was causing all the pro...

Re: The TOS 6 Beta Is Now Available for Public Testing
You can't merge the previous volumes or raids into the current TRAID. instead, you need to plug in the drives to your TNAS, and reboot your TNAS, your volume will be mounted separately. Tried this and the second disk doesn't mount or appear as a single separate volume, the disk is there but there i...

Re: The TOS 6 Beta Is Now Available for Public Testing
Thought I would try again using the latest configuration of the update, but just used one blank disk and reinitialised, which was fine, and then updated to TOS6 and all went well but then noticed that the default configuration was BTRFS rather than giving me a choice! So my question is can I then ad...

Re: Does not meet the conditions for updating the TOS 5.1?
My approach whenever I encounter major problems with TOS installations on my F5-221 (I keep one as a testbed) is to reformat all drives and reinstall TOS 5.1 I did this when upgrading to the latest version that needed 8gig, and have done the same on both occasions when trying to update from a fresh ...

Re: The TOS 6 Beta Is Now Available for Public Testing
If you reinstall TOS 5 per the instructions, be sure to remove ALL drives from you NAS, that means the M.2 drives if you have any installed. I even went so far as to install the M.2 in my PC and use Diskpart to CLEAN the drives before I reinstalled them. I believe in my case TOS was installed on AL...

Re: The TOS 6 Beta Is Now Available for Public Testing
We have accumulated sufficient case data, and the issues such as the inability to start the TOS UI after the update, incorrect username and password, and the loss of various system files are actually all due to the same problem: the failure of the update. We have included these issues in our subseq...

Re: The TOS 6 Beta Is Now Available for Public Testing
If you can allow a remote session from our engineer to find out the issues, that will be much appreciated! So how are you supposed to allow a remote session when you cannot access the desktop to do it? I have now reverted back to 5.1.123 and wiped the drives at least this version is pretty s...
