One more thing, there is currently no other *.142 IP address on my network. I ping it, with the NAS off and get requests timing out with 100% packet loss.

Oh! I did the cat /usr/lib/version command and got this:

TOS_X642.0_5.1.145

Ok, I reset the NAS, a few times. Each time I do so, TNAS-PC locates it, then it makes me change the IP, then it borks out again and I have to reset it again. Found it. I am logged into the TNAS directly with a monitor and keyboard hooked into it. I found this with uname -a:

Linux TNAS-C7F0 5.15.59 #246 SMP...then the date and some other stuff

Oh my, I don't know. How can I tell? I hooked a monitor to the NAS and it gave a ton of info, but I don't know any commands to do anything with it. Do you know the command to tell which version it is? I will try to watch the myriad of lines of text for it.
