Update incase anybody reading is interested. I returned the second Terramaster NAS for a refund via Amazon, bought a Ugreen NAS and put in it the same 3x Ironwolf HDs where they have behaved faultlessly for nearly two weeks - all HDs reporting "Normal" and RAID is functioning without issue...

This evening, after approx. 8hrs "asleep", the moment I accessed my replacement NAS it too started beeping "RAID is in degraded state". Last time you reviewed my System Report and confirmed my first unit was faulty; this new one (assuming it is a new one) exhibits the same fault....

Update: received my replacement NAS yesterday, volumes are building today... Fingers Xed it wakes up happy tomorrow :) Thank you to service and sales support teams for processing a replacement speedily.

Keeping this thread up to date for anybody interested. Support have confirmed there is a hardware issue with my NAS and sanctioned a replacement. I am of course disappointed my unit is faulty, but really cannot fault the Support team / their issue handling process - thank you very much for your spee...

The NAS worked as expected yesterday. But first thing this AM, when I went to wake it from overnight "sleep", the alarm immediately started beeping and again "The RAID in storage pool 1 has been degraded!" Am generating a System Report now and will upload/email via WeTransfer... ...

Update: Volume completed rebuild in a shade under 12 hours and now states "Normal". Please let me know what you glean from the System Report I sent. To be frank given this was the second "RAID is Degraded" alarm in less than 2wks of ownership/light use, I have little faith in the...

Many thanks. FYI the Volume is still rebuilding, @51.82% presently after 6.5hrs. Last time this happened the Volume went back to "Normal" after rebuild, and it stayed Normal for 5 days before the alarm went off again this AM. (Just repeating this because I don't know how much info is inclu...

Please excuse ignorance. That topic (re- HD checking) is a list of seven software packages, none of which mention checking HDs in a NAS.
