Re: TOS 5.1.41 (X86) is Released for Update

I've been struggling with this recent slow SMB transfer speed (e.g., ~20-25MB/s) for a while now and thought I'd tried everything. Transfers might briefly starting at 100MB/s+ but would quickly drop to the consistently slower speed and stay there for the remainder. This is for a single, fairly large...

Re: Do not meet the conditions for updating the TOS 5.1.40 version?

If it matters or is helpful to anyone, I followed the "If there is no USB hard disk enclosure and SATA cable..." method to delete partitions via ssh on an F5-221. After powering on the enclosure with no HDD installed and logging in via ssh, I just inserted one HDD, followed the steps, remo...

Re: F5-221 TOS 5.0.176 ARP Flooding

No feedback on this, or anyone else seeing anything that might make you think this is happening to you? Symptoms on a network that the F5-221 (or possibly other TM NAS models) is ARP flooding on might include: - Smart lighting bulbs aren't responding quickly, or bulbs controlled as a group take a fe...

Re: F5-221 TOS 5.0.176 ARP Flooding

From my point of view, This broadcast should be sent from the clients running on your windows or mac when the client searches for NAS device on local network. Check if there is such a client got wrong, and close it. Normally I would agree, but captures confirm that these are definitely originating ...

F5-221 TOS 5.0.176 ARP Flooding

I have an F5-221 with TOS 5.0.176-00227 installed that is intermittently flooding my network with ARP requests, causing all kinds of problems on my local network: F5221ARPFlooding.jpg I found one reference in the forum to a similar problem related to Microsoft Active Directory, that indicated that e...

Re: TerraSync Client - Sync start, and Log Localization Issue

I guess never mind on this, for now. None of the instructions provided for restarting nginx via ssh worked. At least when running TOS 5, those instructions did not work for me. The `service` command could not be found from command line, either on the F5-221 that was acting up, or on the one that is ...

Re: TerraSync Client - Sync start, and Log Localization Issue

I don't see direct evidence of a filesystem failure. What does the information below tell you? Summary of error/ERROR from dmesg: [ 1.215758] i915 0000:00:02.0: Direct firmware load for i915/bxt_dmc_ver1_07.bin failed with error -2 [ 1.296307] platform regulatory.0: Direct firmware load for regulato...

Re: TerraSync Client - Sync start, and Log Localization Issue

I have figured out this much: I was not using the correct command line to run `service`. Eventually I found that navigating into any of those directories where `service` is located, will work if I use `./service nginx stop` or `./service nginx start`. Thing is, that still doesn't fix the problem of ...

Re: TerraSync Client - Sync start, and Log Localization Issue

Doing a little more digging, I found that the `service` file exists in a few locations (among others that I don't consider relevant to this issue): ./sbin/service ./etc.default/tos/scripts/service ./etc/tos/scripts/service ./usr/lib/samba/service However, attempting to run `service` command directly...
